Shakira’s hairstylist revealed his method for preserving her signature curls, even while she works out
The stylist can be seen blow-drying her braided hair as she lifts weights
Shakira recently showed off her natural curls alongside Beyoncé for an internet-breaking photo
Shakira will go to any lengths necessary to keep her signature curls looking their best for the stage.
In a video shared on Instagram by her hairstylist, Jhonatan Rendon, the 49-year-old Colombian singer can be seen lying face down on the ground as she does weight exercises.
At the same time, Rendon is crouched beside her, blow-drying braided sections of her hair.
“MAKING SURE EVERY SECOND COUNTS !!!” he captioned the post.
In the comments, fans showed their appreciation for the duo’s dedication. “This is about to be me the morning of my wedding 😂,” one commenter wrote.

Shakira recently proved that she and Beyoncé are hair goals as they embraced their natural curls at the 2026 FIFA World Cup Final.
The duo posed for an internet-breaking photo together that’s since been shared by the “Dai Dai” singer after she performed in the global soccer tournament’s first-ever halftime show.

The superstars came together for a viral photo inside New York New Jersey Stadium, which transformed MetLife Stadium into the site of the World Cup Final, where Spain defeated Argentina 1-0 in extra time on Sunday, July 19. The post amassed more than 3.7 million likes in under 24 hours.
“What a day yesterday! Running into so many people I appreciate and respect, and receiving so much love from all of you!! Also, ¡que viva Colombia en este día y siempre!” Shakira captioned the snap.
For her headline-worthy performance, Shakira wore a custom Roberto Cavalli ensemble by the brand’s creative director, Fausto Puglisi, complete with more than 200,000 Swarovski crystals, an exclusive sunset-inspired print and couture details that took more than two weeks to create.

Designed to shimmer under the stadium lights and move effortlessly through Shakira’s signature hip-shaking choreography, the custom two-piece look paired a crystal-covered bodysuit with a dramatic fringed skirt in “golden hour” hues of orange and yellow, with pink accents.
Shakira was very intentional about her look, tellingVogue that she wanted “something that reflected the energy of the performance but also honored the significance of the occasion.”
“This is such a global event, so I wanted to wear something that felt timeless but also modern, with movement and personality,” she continued.
