Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato held an emotional public reunion after nearly 10 years.
Gomez attended Lovato's It's Not That Deep album tour kickoff in Orlando, Fla.
"I am in tears," Gomez wrote on Instagram.
The heart wants what it wants, and that's apparently an emotional reunion between former Disney Channel child stars Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato for the first time in nearly 10 years.
On the opening night of her It's Not That Deep album tour, Lovato reunited with Gomez on the Orlando, Fla., stop of the concert series, with the pair posing for a photo.
"I am in tears," Gomez, 33, wrote Monday night in the caption of an Instagram Story post showing Lovato, also 33, getting ready to take the stage.
Gomez added that the resulting concert "was hands down one of the best shows" she'd seen. "Oh and the VOCALS? Psh *blown away.*"
In another slide, she shared an image of her hugging Lovato as the pair smiled, and captioned it with a lone heart emoji, before posting a video of herself dancing while wearing an It's Not That Deep album hoodie.

Lovato responded to Gomez's post by sharing it to her own Instagram Story, where she added, "Thank you so much for coming!!! Loved seeing you," alongside a trio of teary-eyed emojis celebrating what many have reported is their first public appearance together since a 2017 InStyle event.

Gomez and Lovato first met while filming the children's TV show Barney & Friends, before rising to stardom on Disney Channel projects Wizards of Waverly Place and Camp Rock, respectively.

“What was beautiful is, Selena and I had a friendship prior to Disney Channel because we were actually on Barney together," Lovato explained of their friendship on the Baby, This is Keke Palmer podcast, earlier this year. "I felt safety when I came into the Disney Channel, having a built-in friendship there, already," adding that she "will always be grateful for the friendship I have and continue to have with" Gomez.
Lovato additionally sent well wishes to Gomez and husband Benny Blanco when the pair announced their engagement, saying on an edition of Watch What Happens Live that she "couldn’t be happier" for the couple.
