- Taylor Frankie Paul will not face new charges stemming from an investigation into multiple reports of domestic violence involving her ex Dakota Mortensen.

- The Salt Lake County District Attorney's Office said in a letter shared with ** that several allegations fell outside the statute of limitations.

- The other allegations that do fall within the statute of limitations "lack sufficient evidence to support filing criminal charges," the D.A.'s office said, though the case could be reopened.

Taylor Frankie Paul, the embattled star of *The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives*, will not face new charges in the wake of an investigation into allegations of domestic violence, according to Utah authorities.

The would-be *Bachelorette* leading lady and her ex-boyfriend Dakota Mortensen, who is also the father of their 2-year-old son, Ever, had been under investigation regarding multiple alleged incidents of domestic violence, with one arising in mid-March to far-reaching consequences.

"After reviewing reports and evidence submitted to the Draper Police Department and West Jordan Police Department, the Salt Lake County District Attorney’s Office has declined to file charges against Taylor Frankie Paul," authorities said in a letter provided to ** on Tuesday.

Some of the alleged misdemeanor incidents occurred more three years ago, meaning they fall outside the statute of limitations, the D.A.'s office said. The alleged incidents that did occur within the statue of limitations "do not rise to the level of criminal offenses" and "lack sufficient evidence to support filing criminal charges."

Further, the D.A.'s office noted that the evidence outlining the alleged offenses falling within the statute of limitations "lack specificity as to when and what actually occurred or corroboration." Still, Salt Lake County District Attorney Sim Gill indicated that his office would be open to revisiting the allegations if additional evidence turns up.

EW has reached out to representatives for Paul and Mortensen for comment.

Paul, 31, and Mortensen, 33, dated off and on for several years, beginning in 2022. Paul, a TikTok-sensation-turned-reality-TV-star, pleaded guilty in abeyance to aggravated assault following a 2023 fight involving Mortensen, which she discussed a year later on the first season of *Mormon Wives*. Her probation in that case will be up in August.

The Salt Lake County D.A.'s Office said Tuesday that "an Order to Show Cause (allegations of a violation of probation) will not be filed" against Paul.

Last month, TMZ published a video of Paul and Mortensen's 2023 fight, which prompted ABC to pull the plug on Paul's planned season of *The Bachelorette* days before the planned premiere.

A rep for Paul said in a statement at the time, "Taylor is very grateful for ABC’s support as she prioritizes her family’s safety and security. After years of silently suffering extensive mental and physical abuse as well as threats of retaliation, Taylor is finally gaining the strength to face her accuser and taking steps to ensure that she and her children are protected from any further harm."

Mortensen subsequently said, "As anyone who has seen the video will understand, this is a deeply upsetting situation. I am, unfortunately, used to these baseless claims about me and our relationship, which I categorically deny. I am focusing on our son and his safety, and hope that Taylor will do the same."

Mortensen was granted a temporary restraining order against Paul, as well as temporary custody of their son, on March 20. Paul filed for her own protective order last week.
