However, on second glance, she realized her daughter had hung up missing posters for her baby doll
Now, Karise tells PEOPLE what actually happened to the missing baby doll
Karise Gillette thought her daughter was just proud of her artwork when she started to tape it around the house — until Gillette took a closer look at what her 4-year-old was actually hanging up.
In a hilarious video shared to her TikTok, Gillette documents the different pieces of paper she finds hanging around her house, which end up being "missing" posters for her daughter Navee's baby doll.
"My daughter got these pictures all around the house," she says in the video, showing off a poster taped to their fridge. "I said, 'Oh! You got a little photo gallery?'"
Gillette shows another poster that's taped to a wall separating their dining room from their living room. "She said no. My baby is missing," says the mom.

She then films the poster closer-up, which features a small drawing of a baby with a frown on its face. "Baby?" is written at the top of the paper.
"Wow. Are y'all kids this morbid, or what?" asks Gillette. In her caption, Gillette wrote, "Mind you she's 4."
Now, Gillette tells PEOPLE about her initial reaction to seeing the posters – and what it was like seeing her video go viral.
"My initial reaction was intrigued, seeing as though at first I thought she was making a photo gallery or exhibit around the house," she says. "Instead, they were missing baby posters all over the kitchen appliances, walls and tables."
As for how Navee explained what was happening, Gillette says her daughter has a "wild imagination" and just decided her doll was missing.
"Navee said, 'Her baby was sad because she had been kidnapped!' " remembers Gillette. "Navee has a very wild imagination. She loves the show Bluey, but she's never made missing posters before."

And what exactly happened to her missing doll? Gillette says her daughter had a very simple explanation.
"Navee said our 1-year-old English bulldog Muffin (who is named after a character on Bluey) took her and ate her," she explains.
Now that the video has gone viral, Gillette says she's not surprised her daughter's creative imagination has brought laughs to many around the world.
"Yes and no," says Gillette about whether or not she's surprised by the online reaction. "Yes, because there are a lot of people who find the video entertaining, but also she is very smart and hilarious, so I'm not surprised other people see that as well."
