Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are back in Australia. The coupleāwho last visited Australia in 2018 as senior working royalsāarrived in the country on Tuesday, April 14, just over a month after their spokesperson confirmed that the trip would be taking place.
āPrince Harry and Meghan, Duke and Duchess of Sussex, will visit Australia in mid-April to take part in a number of private, business, and philanthropic engagements. Further details will be shared in due course,ā the rep said in a March 8 statement to People.
For the first round of engagements in Australia, Meghan wore a navy dress by Karen Gee. The piece, officially called the Priscilla Dress, featured a crew neckline and a subtle belt to define the waist. Though minimal in decoration, the dress contained six gold buttons at the bust.

In a 2024 interview with The New York Times, Meghan revealed that she tries using her influence to support brands and designers that she believes in after realizing the impact her clothing has.
āTimes where I know there is a global spotlight, and attention will be given to each detail of what I may or may not be wearing, then I support designers that I have really great friendships with, and smaller, up-and-coming brands that havenāt gotten the attention that they should be getting,ā she said. āThatās one of the most powerful things that Iām able to do, and thatās simply wearing, like, an earring.ā
āI spend a lot of time just Googling, looking for brands,ā Meghan added. āWhen people are online looking for things or reading things, Iām trying to find great new designers, especially in different territories. Investing in them has helped me line up for this chapter where Iām investing in myself.ā
