Meghan Markle and Prince Harry arrived in Australia on April 14.

Meghan wore two different outfits for her first round of engagements.

Meghan and Harry will participate in both private and philanthropic engagements during the trip.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are back in Australia. The couple—who last visited Australia in 2018 as senior working royals—arrived in the country on Tuesday, April 14, just over a month after their spokesperson confirmed that the trip would be taking place.

ā€œPrince Harry and Meghan, Duke and Duchess of Sussex, will visit Australia in mid-April to take part in a number of private, business, and philanthropic engagements. Further details will be shared in due course,ā€ the rep said in a March 8 statement to People.

For the first round of engagements in Australia, Meghan wore a navy dress by Karen Gee. The piece, officially called the Priscilla Dress, featured a crew neckline and a subtle belt to define the waist. Though minimal in decoration, the dress contained six gold buttons at the bust.

Meghan completed the ensemble with Dior’s Dioressence pumps in black leather and the Puffy Hearts earrings by Real Fine Studio in gold to match the buttons of the dress. She also had on her wedding band, Cartier watch, and Cartier Love bracelet.

She wore the look while visiting the Royal Children’s Hospital and while serving lunch at McAuley Community Services for Women, a women’s shelter that helps the homeless and victims of family violence. Both places were located in Melbourne.

Meghan’s second outfit of the day was slightly more daring. For her and Harry’s appearance at the Australian National Veterans Arts Museum in Melbourne, she changed into St. Agni’s suede utility cocoon bomber in khaki and paired the jacket with the brand’s matching suede column skirt in the same shade. Underneath the jacket, Meghan wore the Annie top in taupe by P. Johnson.

In a 2024 interview with The New York Times, Meghan revealed that she tries using her influence to support brands and designers that she believes in after realizing the impact her clothing has.

ā€œTimes where I know there is a global spotlight, and attention will be given to each detail of what I may or may not be wearing, then I support designers that I have really great friendships with, and smaller, up-and-coming brands that haven’t gotten the attention that they should be getting,ā€ she said. ā€œThat’s one of the most powerful things that I’m able to do, and that’s simply wearing, like, an earring.ā€

ā€œI spend a lot of time just Googling, looking for brands,ā€ Meghan added. ā€œWhen people are online looking for things or reading things, I’m trying to find great new designers, especially in different territories. Investing in them has helped me line up for this chapter where I’m investing in myself.ā€
