Love on the Spectrum star Madison Marilla is revealing more details surrounding her heartfelt engagement to Tyler White.
While filming season 4 of their Netflix hit docuseries, White popped the question on July 15, 2025, during a "Christmas in July" themed date to celebrate their first anniversary. After the couple opened presents to one another, Tyler asked Madison to check the mailbox, which was decorated for letters to Santa. Inside was a sweet note from him that served as a lead-up to his proposal. Only a portion of it was read aloud by Marilla in the sixth episode of the latest season of Love on the Spectrum. Now, the bride-to-be is revealing the full letter.
"This is the letter that Tyler wrote and read on our anniversary July 15th when he proposed to me. 💍," Marilla wrote in the caption of a joint Instagram post with White on April 14, featuring a photo of the letter.
She continued, "We instantly bonded when we first met in 2024 over our love for Christmas exactly one year prior which is why the Christmas in July theme was chosen. This is a moment I’ll cherish forever ❤️."

The letter read, "Dearest Madison, I knew in my heart when I met you, that I found someone special, unique and precious."
"With this being our one-year anniversary, I would like to give you a gift to express just how much you mean to me," the letter continued. "You said when we first met that you wanted red tulle in your wedding dress. Did you know that red is the birthstone for July? And this is the month that we first met. Rubies are red, which is also the color of love. Every time you see the special gift I have for you, I want you to think of the day that we met, and this moment one year later. From the moment I met you I knew I had met my person. In my heart I've dreamed of this moment."
Before signing his name, White concluded, "Christmas was how I planned this surprise, but when you know, you know and I don't want to wait another moment to let the world know just how I feel. We can call it Christmas in July and from now until forever."

White proposed on bended knee and opened a ring box to reveal the "special gift," which was a sparkling diamond engagement ring with alternating diamonds and rubies on the band.
Reflecting on the "very emotional" proposal to PEOPLE in April, White shared, "I mean, once she started tearing up reading that letter, I started crying, and you know, I couldn’t help but cry. I mean, you know. I’m getting emotional just thinking about it right now."

During the same interview with PEOPLE, Marilla and White gave a wedding planning update.
“We're gonna wait until the timing is right,” Marilla explained as White added, “Yes. We're definitely waiting on timing and [to] get through the speed bumps and all that good stuff and get to a point where I can provide for her. And also, we've had to keep it secret because of television, and it kinda makes it hard when you have to keep it a secret.”
