It's safe to say that, like many, Lena Dunham is a Taylor Swift fan.
In her new book *Famesick: A Memoir*, Dunham praises the 14-time Grammy winner in her acknowledgments. Throughout the book, Dunham also details her relationship and eventual breakup from Swift's frequent collaborator, Jack Antonoff.
Dunham and Antonoff dated from 2012 until 2018. Meanwhile, Antonoff and Swift have collaborated on songs for over a decade, such as "Anti-Hero," "Cruel Summer," "Getaway Car," "Out of the Woods" and "August."
“Tay Tay-you sing the songs I wrote this book to, the stories that pulled these stories out of me, the music that makes the whole world feel seen, and yet somehow, miraculously, you also pick up every desperate call at every desperate hour," Dunham wrote of the beloved musician. "I love you so much and forever, for the reasons that everyone does and for reasons all my own.”

Dunham and Swift have been longtime friends. The *Girls *actress starred in Swift's "Bad Blood" music video in 2015. She told PEOPLE about her and Swift's relationship and how her music impacted her writing process for *Famesick*. "I mean, every song's my favorite song, but I can tell you which songs were on my writing playlist," she said.
"It's a crazy thing, because she's one of my best friends in the world but she's also my favorite music. My favorite musicians are my husband and Taylor Swift, and I love listening to her," Dunham continued. "All of the Taylor energy that was across this book — *Evermore *played a big role in this book."**

Throughout Dunham's expansive memoir are anecdotes about *Girls*, her friendship with former costar Adam Driver and her five-year relationship with Antonoff. Dunham wrote about Antonoff's friendship with a "teen pop star," and that their "closeness" had begun "striking an odd note."
It is widely speculated that Dunham is referring to Lorde, who worked with Antonoff on her album *Melodrama *in 2017, which sparked romance rumors (that they both denied). ******At one point in *Famesick*, Dunham recalled Antonoff being “locked in a room with a teen pop star whose needs seemed as massive and complex as my own, and who called me ‘Aunt Lena’ when I hobbled into the kitchen with my walker to grab another bottle of green tea.” **

Dunham found the "teen pop star" “sprawled across our sectional couch" at another point, "weeping into Jack's lap as he told her that ‘your teens are for experimenting’ in a tone so comforting, it almost brought tears to my eyes."
She added, “It had been so long since he'd spoken to me with that kind of expansive generosity." The couple's relationship eventually deteriorated as Dunham experienced health issues. They broke up after Dunham cheated on Antonoff in late 2017 during an affair that lasted several days.**
