Hilary Duff debuted a new song that appeared to address an alleged rift with her sister Haylie Duff

During Hilary's first performance in over 10 years in London on Monday, Jan. 19, she performed the track "We Don't Talk," which appears to hint at an alleged falling out

Duff's first album in 10 years luck...or something is due Feb. 20

Hilary Duff debuted a new song at her first show in 18 years — and it's got fans talking.

On Monday, Jan. 19, the pop star and actress returned to the stage at London's O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire, her first concert since 2015.

During the show, she debuted three previously unheard songs from her forthcoming album luck...or something including "We Don't Talk," which appears to address an alleged rift with her sister Haylie Duff.

Per fan-captured footage on X shared on Jan. 19, Hilary, 38, appeared emotional as she sang the track in a rhinestone-emblazoned denim corset and matching jeans on a yellow couch.

On the track, the Lizzie McGuire alum can be heard singing the lyrics, "Don’t know when it happened / Not even sure what it was about," before adding “’Cause we come from the same home, same blood.”

“People ask me how you’re doing / I wanna say amazing, but the truth is that I don’t know / What I always end up saying is how 
" she sings before belting the chorus, “We don’t talk, we don’t talk about it / We don’t talk about anything anymore.”

During the second verse of the song, Hilary alludes to a kind of rivalry.

"And if it’s ’cause you’re jealous / God knows I would sell it all, then break you off the bigger half," she sings.

Hilary then opens up about the idea of trying to work out their alleged issues.

“Let’s have it out / I’ll hear you out, you’ll hear me out on the couch / Get back to how we were as kids / Let’s break it down / So sick of being so sad about / How we don’t talk and you won’t talk about it," she sings.

While Hilary did not address who the song is about, she hasn't been seen with Haylie, 40, publicly since 2019, per the New York Post's Page Six.

"Why doesnt she simply hash it out with haylie tho? So sad," one fan wrote in the comments section of the video on X.

Another individual added of Hilary and Haylie, "Hopefully they can find a way to patch things up, because once a bridge has burned, it can't be rebuilt, nor it can be replaced."

I love this. I have a sister like this," one commenter wrote.

PEOPLE has reached out to Hilary and Haylie for comment.

During an interview with Jake Shane on Therapuss in November 2025, Hilary spoke about her musical comeback, family and growing up.

“I have this crazy connection with fans that I’ve known since I was 9, 10 years old, and I just want to connect with them again,” she said at the time.

Hilary continued, “We have gone through a lot of the same things — whether that’s complicated relationships, anxiety, raising kids, divorces, trying to find yourself in adulthood, family drama 
 Finally, I felt safe enough and comfortable in my own family to step outside and open that part of myself up again.”

On Tuesday, Jan. 20, Hilary also shared a celebratory Instagram post reflecting on her first performance in more than 10 years.

"18 years later, and I still can’t quite make sense of it all," she began. "I’ve imagined what it might feel like to return to the stage, but last night was something else entirely. The love, the community, the energy
it met me in a way I wasn’t prepared for."

Added Hilary: "Thank you for walking with me all these years, for celebrating what was while embracing what’s becoming. I don’t know how I ended up here, but I know I’m exactly where I’m meant to be. Truly what dreams are made of - but real."
