Pink Floyd fans may debate which album is the best, but perhaps they can come to an agreement on the iconic band's all-time greatest song.

It's been 50 years since the Wish You Were Here LP was released, and in honor of the epic milestone, Pink Floyd unveiled earlier this month a massive re-release in the form of a deluxe box set for fans to bask in.

A week later, as Rolling Stone noted on Tuesday, Dec. 23, the beloved rock group released a new music video for the album's title track — which die-hards might argue is Pink Floyd's No. 1 song of all time.

Check out the head trip of a music video below — which features nostalgic, vintage footage along with animated imagery of figures floating through space.

Fans flooded the comments section of Pink Floyd's "Wish You Were Here" YouTube post from Dec. 18, voicing their support for both the song and new video. "50 years later and still the greatest song ever made…" wrote one user, while another person commented, "Did this make anyone else cry?"

Meanwhile, the 50th anniversary box set includes:

25 bonus tracks made up of nine studio rarities

16 live recordings captured by renowned bootlegger Mike Millard at Pink Floyd’s Los Angeles Sports Arena concert on April 26, 1975, now receiving its first official release

three concert screen films from the band’s 1975 tour

the original album plus nine studio bonus tracks

a vinyl LP, Live At Wembley 1974

a replica Japanese 7" single of "Have A Cigar" b/w "Welcome To The Machine"

a hardcover book including unseen photographs

And just recently, thanks to a boost from the album's epic milestone, Wish You Were Herereclaimed the No. 1 spot on the U.K. Albums Chart and broke The Beatles' record for the longest gap between chart-topping albums.

This latest achievement makes it Pink Floyd’s second No. 1 album of 2025. Earlier this year, the live recording Pink Floyd at Pompeii – MCMLXXII, a performance from 1971, also reached the top of the chart.
