On July 28, Donald Trump and several other politicians attended Lindsey Graham’s funeral at the Washington National Cathedral. However, the solemn event seems to have gone viral for all the wrong reasons. This is due to Trump being spotted sharing mints during the proceedings.
In the viral clip, the president appeared to be sitting beside JD Vance. There, he supposedly shared a joke that garnered a laugh out of the latter. According to lip reader Nicola Hickling, Donald Trump and his deputy were apparently talking about Tic Tacs during the choir’s service.
Hickling noted that the POTUS turned to Vance to say, “I found these in my pocket. Want one?” prompting the vice president to reply, “No, it’s all right,” as per The Mirror. Trump then offered the mints to US Secretary of the Treasury Scott Bessent by saying, “You’ll feel fresher.” Upon hearing this, Vance appeared to nod and smile before jokingly addressing Trump and Bessent, “They’re Tic Tacs. They come in a little box.”

The viral incident occurred at Lindsey Graham’s funeral, who had passed away on July 11 at his Washington residence due to a brief and sudden illness.
In honor of the Republican Senator, Donald Trump also shared an unusual eulogy, stating, “As you remember, Lindsey and I did not exactly get off to the best of starts. Running against each other back in 2016, Lindsey said something rather nasty on his flight to becoming the next president of the United States.” He added, “Naturally, I did something I shouldn’t have done. I shared his personal cell phone number with the millions of people that happened to be watching that particular day.”
