Duran Duran took a moment during a recent concert to pay tribute to Renee Good, the woman who was fatally shot by ICE agents in Minneapolis earlier this week.

The beloved '80s band was performing a show in Lincoln, Calif., on Friday, Jan. 9 when lead singer Simon Le Bon paused the show to say a few words about the situation and dedicate one of their songs to Good, her family and her memory.

In a clip from the band's performance on Friday night, Le Bon addressed the crowd while stating, "It's a freaky world right now. It's been difficult to kind of do this show without ignoring what went on in Minneapolis."

"We're not here to make any kind of political statement, but I think we could dedicate the next song to the memory of Renee Good and to her family," Le Bon solemnly said, while the audience loudly applauded the gesture.

"We believe that people in this world have a right to live their lives in peace and lives of freedom and happiness in their own country," Le Bon went on to say. "For all the ordinary people in this world, we wish upon you an ordinary world."

The band then performed the deep cut, which was released in 1993 as part of their self-titled album.

"That was beautiful I felt chills!" one of their fans wrote in the comments under a TikTok clip of the emotional performance.

"They always stand up for good," another commenter wrote, while someone else echoed, "Wow what a class act."

Another comment read, "Duran Duran is always on the right side of history."

Other users applauded the band for being "decent" human beings and thanked Le Bon for his "heartfelt words."

"One more reason to love them," another fan said about the beloved English band. "thank you, Duran, for being so thoughtful."
